Frequently asked question for teams new to tournaments

HOW DO  I START A TEAM ?

           In order to start a team you will need the following things:

           1)  A manager, coaching staff and business manager.
           2)  Dedicated players and parents    
           3)  A philosophy of how your team or club will handle player selections, play time, practice, etc.
           4)  A practice facility.
           5)  An operating budget.  You will need to figure out what this will cost and how you are going to raise the money.
           6)  Uniforms
           7) Team insurance. It is available on the insurance link at www.baseballfirst.com.   
           8) You will need to register your team and put a roster online at www.usssa.com.   

HOW DO I ENTER A TOURNAMENT?  

            1) You can fax the application in the link below to the tournament director and he will put you on the entry list. This is a commitment to play and pay the  the entry fee. You can then mail the entry fee to the address on the application.
            2) You can mail the entry fee with the application to the address on the application.
            3) You can pay online through the link on
www.baseballfirst.com Please note there is an additional charge to pay online.

What will happen once I have sent in my entry?

            Once you have sent in your entry, we will confirm it by e-mail. We post a who's coming list about 10 days before the tournament on the
           
www.baseballfirst.com website. Make sure your team name is on the list.

hen will game times be posted?

        
Game times are posted on the Wednesday before the tournament after 9:00 PM. The who's coming link
          underneath the tournament logo will be replaced by a bracket lin

What do I need at check in before the tournament?

              You will check in an hour before your first game at the park you are playing at. You will need.
 

             1) A copy of your online roster signed by your parents
             2) Proof of insurance
             3) Copies of your player's birth certificates. Passports are acceptable only if a copy of the birth certificate is not available.
