Managers,
We have recently been receiving more and more entry fee checks that are
coming back to us for insufficient funds. As a matter of fact it has
reached epidemic proportions. As a result, we have to change the way we
collect entry fees. For most teams this will have no affect on how they do
business. For those teams that have traditionally paid late or wanted to
pay at the tournament, they will need to adjust the way they collect and
pay their entry fees.
Effective immediately with the March 13/14 tournament.
1) Entry fees may be paid by check up until the Monday before the
tournament.
2) Entry fees may be paid by charge card anytime up until 9:00 PM on the
Wednesday before the tournament, but only through the online link on the
www.baseballfirst.com website. We can not take charge cards over the
phone.
3) If entry fees are paid at the tournament for any reason, the fees must
be paid by money order. We will not accept cash at the field. In addition
there will be an additional fee of $25 added to any entry fee paid at the
tournament for any reason.
4) If a team bounces a check to USSSA, even if it is made good, they will
have to enter all tournaments in advance by paying online or with a money
order received by the Monday before the tournament.
5) Teams with a
partial credit from a rainout may pay for a tournament with a charge card
and receive a check back for their credit at check in.

Thanks for your understanding.
Thanks,
